Toyota RAV4 Miles Per Gallon
Lowell, Dracut, and Tewksbury are filled with places to explore, on the city streets and off the beaten path. A great way to get around is in a capable and fuel-efficient vehicle. The RAV4 is a popular option, but will it satisfy your need for adventure?
To help answer that question, we created this guide to the Toyota RAV4 MPG. Read all about it below and contact us at Ira Toyota of Tewksbury if you have any questions.
RAV4 & RAV4 Hybrid MPG
The 2020 Toyota RAV4 achieves an EPA-estimated 27 city/35 highway MPG.1 The hybrid model, meanwhile, achieves an EPA-estimated 41 city/38 highway MPG.1
The RAV4 Hybrid offers features not available in the regular model. For instance, it has a comprehensive energy monitor. This shows how the gas engine, electric motor, and hybrid battery are operating. As you drive, it’ll provide real-time information on how power is being used, along with how the battery is getting charged.
Furthermore, it has an Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. Here, the electric motor delivers instant torque to the rear wheels whenever you need more traction. This will help you take on any type of road, any time of the year.
Ready for a RAV4 Adventure
Even if you’re driving the regular RAV4 model, you’ll still have an adventure-ready SUV. For instance, the TRD Off-Road trim has optional 18-inch 5-spoke matte-Black alloy wheels, large, over-fender flares, and durable rocker panel guards. Plus, integrated Black roof rails let you bring along bikes, kayaks, or anything else for a fun excursion.
If you want to bring along larger equipment, the Tow Prep Package allows the RAV4 to tow up to 3,500 pounds. Plus, you can power up your gear with an available 120V/100W power outlet in the rear cargo area.
Toyota RAV4 Performance Specs
The 2020 RAV4 comes standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid model has that same engine, but it delivers 219 net horsepower.
The RAV4 comes standard in front-wheel drive (FWD), but has an available AWD system with Dynamic Torque Control. This system will continually monitor and distribute engine power between the front and rear wheels to deliver optimal traction.
In addition, there are up to three selectable driving modes to customize your driving experience:
- ECO Mode helps maximize fuel economy.
- Sport Mode provides a more energetic drive, with exhilarating acceleration and revised shift points.
- EV Mode is available in the hybrid model. This will let you operate on battery power alone under certain conditions.
This system makes sure you always get the most out of your RAV4 commute.
