2019 Toyota RAV4 Review

The Toyota RAV4 is a highly reliable SUV that’s quite popular among drivers around Lowell, Dracut, and Tewksbury. The 2019 model will maintain that dependability, but have some significant changes.

While it won’t be out until the very end of 2018, you can learn about it now in our 2019 Toyota RAV4 preview. Read through the information below, and contact us at Ira Toyota of Tewksbury if you have any questions.

There’s a large, trapezoidal grille that gives off a rugged look to the vehicle. If you want, you can opt for the available two-tone paint scheme. With contrasting roof colors in white or black, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 will really stand out from the crowd.

In addition, the SUV has new design elements that’ll help you see better on your daily commutes. One of them is the repositioning of the side mirrors. They’re now on the doors to help improve your views. Plus, if there’s too much gear to see out the back window, simply flip a switch on the rearview mirror. This will give you a wide digital view of your surroundings.

2019 Toyota RAV4 Highlights

Advanced Interior Features

Toyota

The 2019 Toyota RAV4 will have plenty of advanced technologies to help make your drives more enjoyable. For instance, it’ll come standard with a Toyota Entune™ 3.0 infotainment system.

This infotainment system will utilize Apple CarPlay™ smartphone integration. To use it, simply plug your phone into the car’s USB port. Your favorite apps will appear on the 7-inch screen, allowing you to access them without messing around with your phone.

The vehicle will also come standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0, which come with the same driver-assisting technologies found in the previous model, such as:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
  • Automatic High Beams

This time, it’ll add new features to the mix. One of them is Road Sign Assist. This will read various road signs and show them on the information display in the instrument panel. This way, you can be more aware of things like speed limits in unfamiliar areas.

Reliable RAV4 Performance

The new 2019 Toyota RAV4 will come standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This will replace the previous 6-speed transmission, resulting in even smoother shifting.

Fuel economy ratings aren’t available yet, but they look to be very impressive. For even more fuel efficiency, Toyota will be dropping a RAV4 hybrid model in early 2019.

Furthermore, the vehicle will be offering Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with the Rear Driveline Disconnect system. It’ll send 50% of engine torque to the rear wheels, along with distributing it to the left or right rear wheel. This will result in improved handling on less than favorable roads. When AWD isn’t needed, the rear disconnect system will improve fuel economy.

Took the shuttle service after dropping off vehicle and always enjoy talking with a Lou , the shuttle van driver. Cody called me on two occasions with updates on the ...
