Legendary Off-Roading Capabilities
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner may perform well around town, but it’s off the beaten path where it really shines.
The vehicle is powered by a 4.0L V6 engine that churns out 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it offers lots of performance features to help make off-roading easier.
This includes a Multi-terrain Select system that allows you to choose among four different modes. Each one will adjust the engine throttle setting and traction control, so that you’re capable of handling a variety of off-roading situations.
There’s also a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and Crawl Control (CRAWL). KDSS will automatically adjust the suspension system for better wheel articulation. Then CRAWL will control the throttle and brakes on five low-speed settings. With the help of these two features, it’s easier than ever to travel on even the bumpiest terrain.
Plenty of Passenger & Cargo Room
Your off-roading adventures should be enjoyed by others, too. Luckily, there’s plenty of room for five people in the 4Runner, with the option of adding a third row, for a total of seven.
In the 7-seat model, you’ll have 41.7 inches of front legroom, 32.9 inches of middle legroom, and 29.3 inches of rear legroom. Plus, a standard 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat allows you to quickly get comfortable behind the wheel.
Whether you’re going shopping, taking the kids to sports practice, or heading on vacation, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of room for your various belongings.
In the 5-seat model, there’s 47.2 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats. The 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats let you fit larger items while still leaving room for a backseat passenger or two. Then, if you want to maximize cargo room, just fold down the entire row flat to get 89.7 cubic feet of space.
Features Found in the 4Runner
Finally, there are lots of features found inside the Toyota 4Runner to help keep you relaxed and entertained.
These include heated and ventilated front seats, so that you can quickly warm up or cool down—depending on the temperature outside. This also includes an available dual-zone automatic climate control system. If you and your co-pilot can’t settle on one cabin temperature, just use this feature to get two!
As far as technology goes, the vehicle comes standard with an Entune™ Audio Plus infotainment system. With this feature, you’ll get a 3-month All Access trial subscription to SiriusXM® Satellite Radio—giving you over 150 stations to listen to.
You can also access your favorite mobile apps on the SUV’s display screen, thanks to the available Entune® App Suite. By downloading Pandora®, Yelp®, Facebook, and more, you can stay connected to your phone without needing to touch it while driving.
