Have you heard the buzz about the small and efficient Toyota Prius c? It's a smaller and more city ("c")-friendly version of the standard Toyota Prius that's known for being much more cost-efficient than the larger model, despite the fact that it has made only minor sacrifices (such as slightly less refined interior and ride refinement) to get there.
You may or may not have heard of the Toyota Technical Center (TTC). It's a smaller division of Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, and it's expanding to better serve Toyota North America. TTC is committed to localizing research and development activities for Toyota here in the U.S. and in Canada. One of its major projects currently is developing a better customer service experience with the brand's in-vehicle infotainment systems.

Ford and Chevrolet still might own the pickup truck market here in the U.S., but Toyota also has some strong contenders with the full-size 2012 Toyota Tacoma and the popular midsize 2012 Toyota Tundra. Toyota is reportedly working on ways to highlight its truck line more forcefully by marketing these already existing truck models, as well as tapping the market in ways that haven't been attempted before. So far, one of the brand's questions centers around powertrains and how to incorporate diesel or turbodiesel options on smaller truck models.
